Baby Sitting My Nephew
Travels and Adventures July 9th, 2001So this is my first time in charge of watching the baby. It is a big responsibility but I can do it. Tyler is pretty chill right now, content sucking on his pacifier, swinging in his little swingy thing. He tugs on that pacifier and just floats his eyes around the room, usually settling them at this funny guy with spiked hair sitting at his dining room table. His little feet and hands kick around like he is ready to be a big boy so he can run and play. In the mean time he’ll chill in his swingy thing.
(My sister fixed three of my shirts with missing buttons. I never knew how great a shirt with all the buttons felt.)
It is so cool to see the next generation of our family begin. There are six of us kids, and my older sister Kristin and her husband Rob now have the first child. (He keeps looking down the hall to see where the music is coming from.) They are so happy to be a family.
They don’t have the nicest furniture, they don’t have new cars, the coolest electronic gizmos, and they don’t have their own place, but they have each other and they are happy to spend the rest of their lives together. I am so blessed to be able to come out here to Reno to experience a few days with them.
