Retreat, Late Night at the Studio
Daily Life March 10th, 2005The Life Teen staff spent the first half of the day in a retreat at Mt. Claret, a retreat center on the same campus of the studio where I work. It was cool to have a day dedicated to be slow and prayerful. It’s only prayer that will help us through tough times like these.
I was expecting to spend the whole day on the retreat, then the rest of the night working before I left for vacation. Luckily, the retreat ended mid afternoon. Although I was supposed to go home, I worked like a madman for the next seven hours.
It’s almost midnight now, and I am sitting on the floor, leaning up against my the end of my bed. I haven’t slept in this bed since the beginning of Lent, so it’s remarkable clean well-pressed. My clothes are clean and my bags are packed. My fort is secure for the next few days. I have to wake up in four hours to catch a plane. I guess I should go to bed.
