So yesterday I launched the nomoho.com store. It was fun throughout the day to watch to see how many people were looking at the products. In the first six hours, there were 80-90 product views. Nobody bought anything, but it’s good to know that people are looking. The store needs a lot of improvement, and that will come with time. But I needed to launch the online store so that the nomoho project would become a bigger priority in my life. It’s easier to clean the house when you know company is coming over. It’s the same thing with a website.

Speaking of company, last night Candyce’s family and some friends came over for a cookout. I’ve only slept in my house for a few days, so it was a awkward to host a party for 15 people. There’s no table in the house and hardly any chairs, so we all sat on the floor and ate off of our paper plates. The three youngest kids swam in the pool from eight until midnight. While they were having fun splashing water I was waging war with the grill. A storm was blowing in, and the high winds made my hot metal box a serious fire hazard.

It’s weird. I given about five tours of the new house every day since I bought it, but it still doesn’t feel like it’s mine. Maybe it’s because its new. Or maybe it’s because I don’t plan on living here any longer than three years. (I actually thought I’d live in the old house for ten years. It lasted three.) I guess I don’t feel like I own it. I just feel like I owe on it.
